Which puzzle size should you choose?
Compare puzzle sizes by age, difficulty, build time and table space, from 100 to 1000 pieces.
100 pieces – 30 × 21 cm
Good for children from about 5 years, or as a quick evening puzzle. Typical build time is under an hour.
300 pieces – 42 × 30 cm
A family favourite. Children from about 8 can join in, and it takes an evening or two. Fits on a normal kitchen table.
500 pieces – 48 × 34 cm
For teens and adults who like a challenge without taking over the table for weeks. Expect several hours.
1000 pieces – 70 × 50 cm
The classic size for experienced puzzlers. Needs a table of at least 80 × 60 cm and a high-resolution photo with lots of detail. Expect many hours spread over several days.
Still unsure?
Pick by who will build it: young children 100, the whole family 300, adults 500 or 1000. A photo with a lot of detail can handle more pieces than a simple one.
